Auckland to Kawkowa Bay

Were fortunate to have a place to stay near the airport, Steve and Glen,s place,  A warm welcome to N.Z.We had a good yarn about their tours  of N.Z, Canada, and the USA.Really great to meet them, Glen cooked a vego pizza and salad, so good to have a nice starting point, to build the bikes and get local knowledge.   Good luck in Europe guys……………………….leaving  tomorrow south  towards Thames.getting late, were in Kawakawa overlooking  the Coromandel Peninsula, which I'm told is definitely worth a visit,  maybe next time!. So one of those days tired and no accom organised, so we front up to the cottage on the sheep property across the road from the Bay, George and his wife thumbs up for us to    camp  on there block……..they mentioned they had another loaded couple from Alaska last week, Thanks George and co……

Happy times at Xlendi, and Mgarr ix Xini........
